A: Here at Mr Rubble we supply three different size skips that are all specially designed to be easy to load. The three different size skips are designed for different amounts of waste. 3 tonne skips are for smaller domestic jobs and have a capacity of around 20 black sacks worth of waste. Our 5 tonne skip holds up-to around 45 black bags worth of rubbish. And out 8 tonne skips hold up to 60 black sacks worth of waste. Besides this we also supply a 16-yard container skip which can be lockable and is more designed for larger commercial projects. Still unsure about which size skip you require? We’re always happy to help! Just give us a call and let us know what you need a skip for & we’ll let you know which size skip you need
A: Skips are normally placed on driveways, in gardens, or on the road outside. If the skip is required to be placed on the road, please let us know as there are formalities including a permit we will need to organise on your behalf. Commercial skips can be dropped at your business location, office or factory. For contractors and builders we also offer a waste disposal service for customer locations.
A: Due to the size of the lorry used to drop-off and collect your skip, we’d need a drive that is 9ft wide - most drives are a suitable size. However, please consider the surface of the drive as the lorries that deliver and collect the skips are very heavy and there is the potential for them to damage a drive surface whilst delivering and collecting skips!
A: Yes, you there are no standard restrictions on putting a skip in your garden provided it’s safe for our skip delivery lorries to access.
A: Yes, a permit is normally required, however, we organise these for you on your behalf
A: Yes, if there are any problems meaning a traditional skip is not suitable, we can offer a wait-and-load service. This would mean that instead of leaving a skip with you, the skip driver will wait while you load your skip. Please contact us for further information.
A: there are several items that you should not put into your skip in accordance with current legislation. These include batteries, electrical appliances, fridges, freezers, air conditioning units, fluorescent tubes, paints, used paint cans, asbestos, fire extinguishers, gas bottles, solvents, aerosols, liquids, oil, fuel, other automotive fluids, plasterboards, tyres, tv monitors, clinical waste, medical waste, or toxic materials.
A: The only requirements to do with filling your skip is that it’s not overloaded.
A: We are based between Rotherham and Sheffield and as such deliver skips all over Rotherham and deliver skips all over Sheffield. These skip delivery areas include Dore in the South to Wombwell in the North, from Low Bradfield in the West to Todwick in the East. If you have any questions about whether we can deliver a skip to your area, give us a call.
A: to help avoid unnecessary delays, we normally aim to collect 3 tonne skips after three days and larger skips after a week. Please let us know if you’re likely to need your skip for longer.
A: To book a skip you can book online through our website or you can call us directly on 0114 236 6222 for skip hire in Sheffield or 01709 830 830 for skip hire in Rotherham.
A: Yes, skip collection dates can be arranged with us. In order to help make our business as eco-friendly (and competitive) as possible, we try to arrange skip collections around our skip deliveries so we can normally accommodate all requests. However, if it's important that your skip has to have been removed by a certain date, please let us know.
A: Ideally we’d need 24 hours’ notice to schedule in deliveries and collections of skips, however, something that’s very important to us is our excellent customer service, so if you call us in the morning, we will often be able to get to you the same day. However, during particularly busy periods, such as bank holidays, it may be advisable to book your skip delivery or skip collection more in advance.

If you've seen our skips around you will have noticed that they certainly look different! They practically load themselves... or so our customers tell us. Because we put our customers first, we don't just use regular 'bought' skips. Instead, we researched to find out exactly what our customers need then we designed a new one. Our unique low-loading skips eliminate the need for sometimes dangerous drop doors and steep ramps. They're stronger and don't just fall to pieces when we lift them. We keep them in good condition with bright colours and reflective paint. And most importantly, they're the size we say they are! Find out more...
